Week 6

To be an effective teacher, one should always put the children's needs before my own. My goal as a teacher is to strive to make my students feel safe and loved in the classroom so that they have the best environment to learn.
A good teacher preparation program should consist of good, effective teacher and a lot of teaching experience. I feel like the partnership program is the best method for teachers to be educated. We learn a lot in our classes and have relationships with our teachers and get so much teaching experience.
Student achievement is affected by the expectations of the teacher and the effectivenes of their teacher. I think the expectations of the teacher affect the students the most.

Mr. Macias' classroom was by far my favorite class this year. It really surprises me how much I will miss this classroom. I have learned so much and feel so much more comfortable teaching. It was so easy to smile in that classroom once I got used to it. I also feel like I learned a lot about myself. I found out I was a lot more patient and caring that I originally thought. I'm so sad to be leaving this class, but I am so excited for an SEI classroom.
